Improved

WannaTrack on your phone

WannaTrack now works properly on small screens. The top navigation and the project sidebar collapse into a single slide-in menu:

  • One tap opens everything — projects, portfolio, search, your profile, and a project's board, backlog, timeline, and the rest.
  • Project pages like the board and backlog are reachable on mobile for the first time.
  • A long workspace name or logo no longer crowds the top bar.

Swim lanes on the board

The board can now be sliced into swim lanes. Choose a Group by and every column splits into horizontal lanes:

  • Group by assignee, epic, priority, or type — or keep the classic ungrouped board.
  • Drag a card into another lane to reassign it on the spot: its assignee, epic, priority, or type updates and saves immediately.
  • Drag across columns to change status, exactly as before.
  • Your grouping is remembered per project and follows you across devices.

Organizations, plans, and billing

WannaTrack now runs as a multi-tenant product. Each team gets its own organization, with its own members, projects, and branding.

  • Organizations: per-org accounts with public signup and per-org branding.
  • Plans & billing: self-serve Free, Starter, Team, and Business plans, billed by seats and storage, with Stripe checkout.
  • In-place plan changes: upgrade or downgrade with automatic proration for existing subscribers.
  • Subscription lifecycle: grace periods, suspension, recovery, and gated deletion, with clear in-app banners so nothing is a surprise.

Every feature stays available on every plan. You only pay for users and storage.

Portfolio: Scrum of Scrums

For organizations running multiple teams, the new Portfolio dashboard rolls every project up into one director-level view:

  • Per-team health at a glance: on track, at risk, or off track.
  • Aggregate velocity and completion across all teams.
  • Open blockers and cross-team dependencies surfaced in one place.

Tickets also gained an explicit blocked state, so impediments show up on the board and roll straight into the portfolio.

Improved

A faster, rebuilt web app

We rebuilt the WannaTrack web app from the ground up. The board, backlog, timeline, and reports now feel noticeably snappier, navigation is instant, and the whole interface is more consistent end to end.

Dark mode is the default, with a one-click switch to light whenever you prefer.

New

Pull requests on your tickets

Development work now lives next to the ticket it belongs to. The new development pane links pull requests to tickets, and the board shows PR state at a glance:

  • See whether a ticket's PR is open, merged, or closed without leaving the board.
  • Filter the board by PR state to find what's ready for review.
  • Jump straight from a ticket to its pull request.

Live demo mode

Want to see WannaTrack with real data before committing? Demo mode spins up a fully seeded project, complete with sprints, epics, and a populated backlog, in seconds. No signup, and everything resets when your session ends.

New

Email notifications and ticket watching

Stay in the loop without living in the app:

  • Watch any ticket to follow its progress.
  • Email notifications for the updates that matter, using friendly status names rather than raw keys.
  • A clearer board, too: an unmapped column catches active-sprint tickets that don't yet have a status, and abandoned tickets stay out of the way.

Time tracking, mentions, and richer tickets

A batch of upgrades to the day-to-day ticket experience:

  • Time tracking on tickets.
  • @mentions that notify the right teammate.
  • Paste media straight into tickets and comments, screenshots included.
  • Quick-open popups: click a ticket on the board or backlog to view it in a modal instead of a full page navigation.
  • Search by ticket number to jump to any key instantly.

Import directly from Jira

Switching from Jira no longer means starting from scratch or wrestling with CSV exports. Point WannaTrack at your Jira project and we pull your work across directly, mapped onto your board and backlog:

  • Tickets with their types, statuses, and priorities.
  • Sprints and backlog ordering.
  • Comments and @mentions.
  • Issue links and relationships between tickets.
  • Full change history, so the audit trail comes with you.
  • File attachments, downloaded from Jira and re-hosted on your tickets.

A live progress view shows exactly what's been imported as it runs. Most teams are up and running the same afternoon, with nothing left behind.

Collaborative docs

Project knowledge now lives where the work does. The new docs feature brings real-time collaborative editing, file uploads, and pasted media, so specs, runbooks, and notes sit alongside the tickets they describe.

WannaTrack launches

The first release of WannaTrack brings the core of agile delivery into one tool:

  • Boards with configurable status columns.
  • Backlog, sprints, and epics for planning work.
  • Timeline for seeing epics and sprints on a schedule.
  • Reports: burndown, burnup, and velocity.
  • Refinement: planning poker and retrospectives.
  • Accounts: email verification, password reset, and login by username or email.

The foundation everything since has built on.
